DENSITY is a physical property of matter, as each element and compound has a unique density. Density defined in a qualitative manner is the measure of the relative “heaviness” of objects with a constant volume. Density’s examined how packed the particles in a substance are and the impact that has on it physical properties.

For example: A rock is obviously more dense than a crumpled piece of paper of the same size.
A styrofoam cup is less dense than a ceramic cup.

We do countless experiments about density and it fun to see our youth find out that thing aren’t always they way they appear…
